Level 4:  Renaissance, Colonial (1450 to 1700 CE)
  Gunpower, printing, fully-rigged ships, hot-air balloons, muskets, sailing warships
Level 5:  Industrial Revolution (1700 to 1900)
  Mass production, steam power, steam ship, rail roads, dynamite, repeating handguns, direct current power
Level 6:  The World Wars (1900 to 1950)

Level 7:  Modern (1951 to 2000)

Level 8:  Spacefaring (2001 to 2050?)
